Leveraging Local Knowledge

The client’s new office space is located within a business complex in southern Paris where Allure had previously completed a successful project. This prior experience provided valuable local knowledge, established landlord relationships and a proven understanding of the site’s technical constraints from day one.

Managed primarily from New York and London, the project required a local partner capable of navigating the Paris market, interpreting French regulations and coordinating stakeholders across multiple countries. Allure engaged the client’s internal IT and engineering teams from the outset, ensuring clear alignment, efficient decision-making and seamless execution.

Balancing Global Standards and Local Expertise

The client’s comprehensive set of global workplace guidelines defined everything from space planning principles to design standards, logo placement, spatial elements, and partitioning strategies. The objective for their Paris office was to balance these requirements with local needs and subtle references to the city’s identity.

In addition, the relocation offered an opportunity to move employees from an outdated office into a brighter, more welcoming and contemporary environment better suited to the company’s evolving workplace strategy.

Alongside everyday workspaces, the office also needed to support client training activities, with dedicated areas for workshops and product demonstrations.

Beginning in August, at the height of the summer holiday season, the project demanded rapid progression from concept through to construction and occupation, achieving completion by the end of April.

Meeting an Accelerated Timeline

Fast-track execution became one of the defining features of the project.

Allure’s familiarity with the building provided an immediate advantage, while early subcontractor engagement allowed procurement, budgeting and technical coordination activities to run in parallel with the design phase.

Building Certainty Before Construction Began

To maximize certainty and international coordination from the outset, Allure adopted a BIM-led approach.

While landlord-provided drawings offered an initial starting point, the team carried out a detailed scan of the workspace to verify existing conditions — ceiling services, extraction grilles, and other building constraints — and translate these into an accurate digital model.

Working from this model, the team developed a highly detailed technical design package before construction commenced. BIM enabled the team to interrogate the design in full before work began on site, identifying and resolving clashes and technical issues that would otherwise have emerged during construction.

Where technical detailing often continues alongside site works on fast-track programs, completing it upfront significantly reduced the need for revisions, helping maintain momentum without sacrificing quality.

This model-led approach provided greater confidence throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear alignment between design intent and on-site execution.
